Graduation season is almost upon us, and often we have multiple graduation gifts to buy all in one season. Depending on the number of gifts you need to purchase, the total amount can add up quickly. I’ve always felt that the meaning behind the gift is more important than the cost of a gift. When browsing for the appropriate gift, think of the recipient and something that they will find useful or meaningful for a long period of time. Of course, gift cards and cash are always welcomed too, they help high school graduates get a start in college or college graduates get a start in the real world!
Graduation Photo Albums are also a great idea, especially if you have photos of you and the recipient you can print out and include in the album when you give it!
Graduation Book Gift Ideas:
There are many inspirational books available for graduates of all ages. Be sure to include a handwritten note inside, so they can refer back to it and think of you and fond times!
Cleaning Supplies
This may seem boring, but so many find it meaningful when it hits them just how valuable it is. 22 years ago, I received a gift like this from someone I’ve always admired. She filled it with laundry supplies (and 2 rolls of quarters), cleaning supplies, and a handwritten note. I still use the basket to this day, and think of her each and every time. Though the supplies were used up, it was very beneficial to have them when money was tight right after moving. Once young adults have to start buying these for themselves, they learn to appreciate the thoughtfulness behind it!
