Welcome to the wonderful and crazy world of Fingerlings toys!
What are fingerlings?
Good question! For all of you who haven’t come across these cute little creatures, here is the lowdown. Fingerlings are small plastic toys that wrap around your finger. They have electronics and sensors fitted in to allow the toy to react to touch, sound and create noises.
How did fingerlings start?
The fingerlings were launched at the beginning of 2017 in the UK and become a massive hit with children all over the world. By 2019 they become the number one toy that every child wanted to have.
What age group are fingerlings appropriate for?
The general consensus (and the toys manufacturer’s recommendation) is five years old and over, due to small parts of the toys.
How do you get fingerlings to talk?
The fingerlings react to different touches (they have sensors on their heads) and when you talk or clap. Depending on which fingerlings toy you have, they make a slightly different range of noises and words. Each toy can create up to 40 different sounds and noises, including singing, blinking or burping.
What are the names of all the fingerlings?
The monkey fingerlings names are: Zoe (turquoise), Mia (purple), Finn (black), Boris (blue), Bella (pink), Sophie (white), Rose (glitter)
Can fingerlings talk to each other?
Yes, they actually do! If you have two fingerlings close enough, they will be able to interact with each other. For example, if you clap twice, they will sing. How cool is that?
Are fingerlings suitable for boys?
Well, there is no reason why fingerlings can’t be adored by little boys. The pink and purple colours of the original monkeys combined with glitter might be more suitable for girls. But, the dino, raptor, sloth or panda fingerlings would be perfect for boys!
What are the most popular fingerlings?
