So here is my list of my favourite moulds, that I’ve tried and tested for you, so that you can start making your own bath bombs at home too.

Metal Bath Bombs Moulds
Most traditional bath bombs moulds are made from food grade aluminium alloy metal. These moulds are very durable, sturdy, they don’t oxidize or go rusty and they are safe to use. They last a long time and they are easy to clean using hot water and soap. It’s best to use a soft cloth when cleaning your moulds to prevent any scratches. To store your moulds, line them with a soft kitchen paper towel.
These metal bath bomb moulds are best if you are serious about making your own bath bombs as they will last a long time. Saying that, the cost is so affordable (especially for the mould sets) that you can easily buy them without spending a lot of money. Metal bath bombs moulds are also the traditional choice for making bath bombs since 1989.

silicone bath bombs moulds
Bath bombs don’t have to be just round! Long are the days, when bath bombs were just round baubles, these days, you can have flowers, unicorns, hearts, snowflakes and lots more! The difference with using silicone moulds, is that they are not double sided, which means that your bath bombs are flat from one side and have a pattern on the other side.
This also means that silicone moulds are perfect for beginners, children and people who want to make their bath bombs quickly. All you need to do is to pack your bath bomb mixture in tightly, leave it to set for good 12 hrs. The silicone moulds are also very flexible, don’t crack and taking out your bath bombs is very easy – you just pull the mould slightly apart to release the bath bomb and then push it from underneath the bomb. Easy!
Silicone moulds will last a long time and they are also easy to wash with soapy water and soft cloth.
You can also use your silicone moulds for soap making (and baking, although I would always advise to have a designated moulds just for non-food projects).
