Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and it is a cause that is important to me. When I was young, we lost my grandmother to Breast Cancer, and now that I’m in my forties, I have several friends who are fighting the same battle. I urge you all to do monthly self exams, and at the appropriate age, be sure to get your mammograms. There are many services that provide this for free or reduced price, if you don’t have insurance, so be sure to explore all options. Early detection is SO IMPORTANT, and can literally save your life. I get mine every year, and it’s certainly not enjoyable, but you gotta do what you gotta do 🙂
