Once you have assembled everything, it is time to make the coffee. Start by measuring out the coffee and water. A good ratio to consider is 1:17 where you measure 17 grams of water for every gram of coffee. Place the coffee grounds in the filter and place them on the brewing device.
Next, heat the water using the kettle. Once the water reaches 195 degrees Fahrenheit (91 °C), turn the kettle off. Pour the water over the coffee, going slowly to ensure all coffee grounds are touched by the water. Note that carbon dioxide might need to escape, leading to a poor brew. To rectify this, use twice as much water for the same amount of coffee.
