This is our dog, Cuddles. If you follow me on Instagram, you probably see me post pictures of her from time to time. She is just about a year old, we adopted her from a rescue society, and they think she is part Maltese, part Poodle. She has a thick, soft coat, but if often looks dull. We do take her to the groomer about once a month for a natural shampoo and trim, and we feed her a quality premium food to keep her healthy and treat a condition she has.
I spoke with the vet today, and let her know about the AvoDerm Challenge, so she can share with other families. If you click that link, it will take you to their site where you can also sign up to participate , enter the sweepstakes to win a year’s supply of AvoDerm, and get a $5 off coupon.
We did a ton of research on various foods before we adopted Cuddles, speaking to veterinarians and other experts. They advised us on what to look for when we read the ingredient list on the pet foods available in various stores. Initially we found a food for Cuddles at a chain pet food store, but when she developed a condition, we needed to look for a food that included specific nutrients to help her naturally, in addition to some prescription chewables. We shop at a local store here in our town that sells AvoDerm, and the salespeople are incredibly knowledgeable. Although there is a national chain in my area that sells AvoDerm too, I prefer to shop at this smaller locally owned store that only sells foods that they too have researched and feel like meets their stringent requirements. For example, when we first moved here last year, I stopped in to see if they sold our previous food so I didn’t have to drive 30 minutes to the large chain store to get it. They did not, and they gave me a 30 minute lecture on why I shouldn’t use it, and sent me home with a sack full of samples of better quality foods to try.
What makes this food so great? Well, it has quality ingredients, meaning lots of premium proteins, no corn, no wheat. Antioxident Nutrients to help support a healthy immune system, and it includes avocado to help promote healthy skin & coat.
I challenge you to go look at the ingredient list on the dog food you use, and to ask your vet about it the next time you are in for a visit, to see if it’s the best choice for your pet. If you take the challenge, they GUARANTEE that in just 6 weeks, you’ll see a softer, shinier coat.
