I use the Petco Repeat Delivery Service to save time and money on the items I need to keep my pets happy, healthy, and well groomed.
I love using repeat delivery services for my normal household goods, select dry goods, and other products that we use in our home. When I heard about an opportunity with Megan Prime Media and Petco to try and share about my experience using the Petco Repeat Delivery Service, I could not sign up fast enough. There are many reasons why this works out well for me. As a blogger, I work at home. It does allow me the flexibility to run errands when needed, and do housework also, but that limits my time and ability to get work done. With children in the middle grades who participate in many various sports and after school activities, I am on the go for most of the afternoon and evening hours, so it’s essential that I plan my days well, and am as efficient as possible with shopping and running errands. By using repeat delivery services, I am able to save time, keep my home stocked with essentials, save money by getting a discount, and sticking to the items on my shopping list.
The Petco Repeat Delivery Service is really user friendly. I found it very easy to find the products that we use regularly, including a special Urinary Tract Cat Food for our aging cat. Once I located the product I wanted, I simply selected to purchase as a repeat delivery item, indicated the scheduling frequency that I want future orders shipped to me, and added the items to my cart. As a first time online customer of Petco, I signed up for their loyalty card, and qualified for a 20% discount on all of my items AND a $30 eGift Card with a purchase over $39, when I placed my first Repeat Delivery Order. Exclusions did apply, and it was valid for orders placed between May 1 and May 30. (The Promotional eGift Cards are not valid on donations, backordered items, or the purchase of another Petco eGift Card or physical Petco Gift Card. The value of the Promotional eGift Card is applied to the total purchase, including shipping and tax.). My order was just over $49 so I qualified for free shipping, and the credit card I used at checkout is the one they will use to charge future orders to. I prefer to pay for products over shipping, so I like the ability to increase the quantity of items I need in order to qualify for free shipping at a reasonable threshold. I also want to clarify that the $30 Promotional eGift Card will be sent via email, to the email address I used for the qualifying order. I placed my order in April, and I expect my eGift card to arrive via email by May 15. It will expire on June 5, so I have set my next repeat delivery to fall within those dates. I’ll login and apply the eGift card to my account, and get a fantastic discount on my next order!
I was impressed with how easy the Petco Repeat Delivery Service system was to use, and you can easily log in and manage your future delivery service schedule as well. I wanted to be thorough when using the site, so I also clicked on the popup to speak with a customer service agent. They responded within a minute or so, were very polite, and answered my question quickly with the specific information requested. That is a big deal to me as a frequent online shopper. I detest getting generic pre-written answers that often aren’t applicable to the question I am asking, so getting a personal reply that actually answered the question specifically goes a long way with me. I am a loyal shopper of sites and stores that have excellent customer service and care about their customers.
As a budget minded shopper, I like to compare costs between the various sizes of the products I’m shopping for, to make sure I’m getting the best deal possible and using my shopping dollars wisely. However, I also have space constraints for storing certain items, such as pet food. I purchased two smaller bags of food for our dog because we needed one the next week, and the canister we store open food in is the same size as the smaller bags. It keeps the food fresh, and the pets aren’t able to get into it to sneak extra food, which makes our veterinarian happy when she checks her weight at her examinations.
There are many items in several categories that you can select for the Petco Repeat Delivery Service, not just food for your dog or cat. They also offer treats, supplements, vitamins, pest control, and many other items. When I placed my order, I also purchased the shampoo we use for our dog that contains oatmeal and baking soda, to treat her dry, itchy, sensitive skin, and I felt like I hit the jackpot when I saw that they sell the Deodorizing Spritz that our groomer uses! I didn’t realize it was sold to the public, and it serves as a skin & coat conditioner with Oatmeal, Aloe, and Vitamin E. We can now spritz her at home between grooming sessions and baths, so she always smells fresh. It’s especially nice after taking her out for a walk during a spring rain, so she doesn’t smell like a wet dog 🙂
