Campfire Grilling Essentials
This past week, we’ve been away on vacation in Maine. We had a great time exploring the area, many hiking trails, scenic overlooks, fishing, waterfalls, etc. I planned ahead and bought groceries to take with us because the closest grocery store was 45 minutes away from our cabin. The listing for our cabin said it had a gas grill and a charcoal grill on site, available for use, and most local picnic areas had charcoal grills available for use as well. However. Upon our arrival, we discovered that the gas grill was in need of a serious deep cleaning – with tools we didn’t have with us, and the charcoal grill needed some cleaning as well. Additionally, the tools to use the charcoal grill were all rusted beyond repair. We drove 90 minutes to the closest Walmart (no phone or internet service or we probably would’ve placed an Amazon order to get the needed items delivered) and purchased the Campfire Grilling Essentials we needed to get the charcoal grill at the cabin cleaned enough to use and take with us on daytrips to use the charcoal grills at the picnic areas. Here are some of the items we used (to be updated when I have internet service!).
